Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier Adapted by Clifford Williams
This chilling and suspense-filled drama tells the story of Max de Winter, who, in 1940, brings his shy young bride to Manderley, his great house in Cornwall. Everywhere, she senses the overpowering presence of Max's first wife, Rebecca, who was drowned.

Mrs Danvers, the grim housekeeper, adored Rebecca and will not allow the new Mrs De Winter (whom she refers to as 'the child') to forget her shortcomings and generally makes her life quite intolerable.
The poor bride doubts Max's love for her until Rebecca's body is found.
Max then confesses that he murdered Rebecca, hating her depravity.
The devoted husband and wife then face an exciting
and gripping fight to try and save Max from the gallows.
