The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie
by Jay Presson Allen
adapted from the novel by Muriel Spark
WHAT A FANTASTIC SUCCESS!
This intriguing play was chosen for St Paul's Drama Group Spring 2010 production and was very well supported by appreciative audiences.
"She was a schoolmistress with a difference;
Proud, cultured, romantic - her ideas were progressive, even shocking...

And when she decided to transform a group of young girls under her tutelage into the
“crème de la crème” of Marcia Blaine School,
no one could have predicted the outcome."
Brodie herself is the sort of teacher we may ourselves have encountered. Charismatic, unconventional, capable of inspiring great loyalty - and thus, potentially, both a tremendous role model and very dangerous indeed!
