Time's Up by Simon Wickham
An original play written for us by Simon Wickham and was our entry for the Betchworth Festival in 2002.
The play concerns two sisters who meet up their their father's funeral.
The elder sister has stayed in England and is a counsellor; the younger sister has been living in America where she has been very unhappy. Both have
issues with each other dating from their childhood and the early demise
of their mother. The sisters decide to face their demons by conducting a
series of interviews in a 'counsellor-type' situation (hence the title 'Time's Up').
During the course of this riveting play, it transpires that the father sexually assaulted the elder sister when she was just 12 years old. The girls then gradually come to terms with their past and face the future together.
